Welcome to Kings Dry Cleaners. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services, whether in-store, via collection and delivery, or online through our website: www.kingsdrycleaners.co.uk.
Please read these Terms carefully before placing any order. By using our services, you agree to be bound by the following:
1. General
1.1 Kings Dry Cleaners is operated in accordance with all applicable UK laws and regulations.
1.2 We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our services indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Services
2.1 We provide professional dry cleaning, laundry, ironing, alterations, and related textile care services.
2.2 Items submitted must be lawful and safe to clean using conventional methods. We reserve the right to refuse service for any item.
2.3 Our standard turnaround time is 48 hours unless otherwise stated or agreed.
3. Collection and Delivery
3.1 We offer collection and delivery services based on postcode availability.
3.2 While we aim to meet all collection and delivery times, we are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our control (e.g., traffic, weather).
3.3 If no one is available during the scheduled collection/delivery time, a rebooking fee may apply.
4. Care of Garments
4.1 All garments are cleaned according to the care label instructions.
4.2 Where care labels are missing, or if we are advised otherwise, we will clean items at the customer’s risk.
4.3 We take reasonable care with all items but are not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage, shrinkage, colour fading or texture change
- Weakening of fabric or accessories (zips, buttons, beads) due to age or prior wear
5. Claims and Compensation
5.1 Any complaint or claim must be made within 48 hours of item return, supported with a receipt and photos where applicable.
5.2 In the unlikely event of loss or damage, compensation will not exceed 10 times the cleaning charge of the item, and in all cases, capped at a maximum of £150 per item.
5.3 No compensation will be offered without proof of purchase or if items were cleaned against manufacturer instructions.
6. Payment
6.1 Payment is due in full upon order confirmation unless otherwise agreed.
6.2 We accept major debit/credit cards and online payments. Unpaid balances may result in service suspension or late fees.
6.3 Garments not collected within 90 days will be donated or disposed of, and no compensation will be provided.
7. Liability
7.1 Our liability is limited as described above and excludes any indirect or consequential losses.
7.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability which cannot be excluded under UK law.
8. Privacy
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and store your data.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
